We got started in late 2021 when an urgent ask came in from an organization working with women who were fleeing Afghanistan. In this phase, the displaced person often gives up their dreams of becoming a doctor, lawyer, engineer, or artist–because they are simply surviving and making ends meet. The ask was to empower them with laptops so they could tell their stories and continue their work. Through our network, we were able to secure over 50 computers from Meta, Tally, and Washington Post.

We came to realize many tech companies let their retired yet totally viable computers go to waste in IT closets. Our mission is to make it easy to donate these computers ensuring they have second life.
